White Stag -Terra Bidlespacher
At a young age White Stag Art (Terra Bidlespacher) knew she wanted to be an artist... or a veterinarian and for a slightly brief period approaching upon her teen years... a mad scientist. Before the birth of her daughter she decided, "why not," and delve into creating art for a living starting out on Ebay with Artist trading card mini paintings and prints. It worked and she couldn't believe people wanted to buy the things coming out of her head.
Terra adores stripes, dots, patterns and all things with horns and antlers in her work. Why is the website called White Stag Art when there are not a lot of stags? A long while ago Terra painted a lot of deer girls and antlered women in white, and a work that still haunts her is, "The Dance of White Stag" - a painting/drawing that has been redone time and time again by her. Listening to feedback of others that did not like the "Horned women" Bidlespacher separated from that path and became tamed in her ambitions. This is no longer that time, finding that people did and do indeed love her bizarre, creepy, cute, and horned vixens it breathes life on her creative domain to shine again.
Early inspiration for Terra included books like Stephen Cosgrove's Serendipty books her entire collection of hard backs were sadly destroyed in a flood and she would desperately love to replace them. Video games introduced by her brother played a big role in becoming inspired by fantasy. Terra loved RPGs but is no longer as fickle with her video games. Lastly, Anime and manga played a major role in the early years In obsessively drawing new original characters and those early years were crucial in shaping her art today.
